This is a great take out spot. I really wanted fried plantains. This place with fish and seafood and barbecue in addition to those fantastic plantains was a great find. It was easy to use the online ordering system. And when I went to pick it up everything was ready. The gentlemen there were really helpful.. Easy to find parking run in and get your food. The fish was tender and tasty. The plantains were done perfectly. And I enjoyed the fries.
First let me start by saying I'm from New York & just moved to Ohio in April I haven't found any restaurant's to make me feel at home until I came here to eat , customer service is great. Food is great THE JERK CHICKEN & CABBAGE IS THE BEST I'll recommend this place to anybody especially if they want that Caribbean taste this is the place !!! I'll be back for more jerk chicken
Yum! The jerk chicken dinner was so good. It had so much flavor. It comes on top of a bed of really tasty rice and you get two sides. All of the sides we tried were really good. The wings are legit. I didn't think 5 wings would be a very hefty dinner, but they were huuge. You can pick between breaded and naked too. We were so full we saved the chicken philly for lunch the next day and it was really really good leftover and cold. Can't imagine how good it would've been fresh. Took a few minutes waiting outside for the food to come out, but that's good. They're busy. Dude was super happy go lucky. Support black owned businesses!
Exactly what I was craving and The Flavor Grille didn't disappoint! I got a jerk chicken dinner with greens and mackin cheese, plus an order of fried green tomatoes. I'm extremely full and extremely happy. The jerk chicken was relatively mild but still flavorful. The rice that comes with it tasted extra turmeric-y (I think?) which was so satisfying! Next time, I'll probably order extra greens--so good. The fried green tomatoes weren't greasy and didn't need the (tasty) dipping sauce--the breading was flavorful enough! I mean, I still used it. But you wouldn't have to. Thanks for the great dinner!
My boyfriend literally just picked up take out. We have been by this place so many times and are FINALLY trying it. It's so good, y'all. Mac and cheese, greens, catfish, shrimp, rice, candied yams and cornbread all are insanely flavorful and delicious. If you're local and haven't tried this place yet- DO IT!
This place is amazing and definitely a little hidden gem. I had the jerk chicken and my husband had the wings - we both loved it! Husband said they were the best wings he has had in Akron. Food is flavorful and made with love. Came within an hour through UBER eats and the food was warm and fresh. We will definitely be back!
This small place was a delight to find after one of our fall hiking spree hikes in Summit County. We decided to be adventurous & give it a go, & we were glad we did! John's Philly Steak was tender & tasty with red peppers & onions. He said it was the best he ever had! He was kind enough to let me have a taste & I have to agree with him, "best ever." I enjoyed some extra crispy lemon pepper wings & seasoned fries. Just yummy. They cooked the wings extra crispy for me without charring them. The peach cobbler was great! Down side to this little gem is that it is so little, only 3 tables. You had to wait for your food & that was A OK because that way you are assured its fresh!
This Jamaican/Soul food joint was a friendly surprise. There isn't much room to sit down and eat but they do have 2-3 small tables. I had jerk chicken with greens and macaroni and cheese. The chicken was delicious, flavorful and had a nice spicy kick but not too spicy. The Mac and cheese was some of the best I've ever had. Forget fake cheese sauce this stuff is the REAL deal. Delicious. The greens were delicious also. The reason for one star short of five is because the restaurant could use a little bit of cleaning. It wasn't quite up to my standards as far as cleanliness, nothing out of line gross, but could definitely use some elbow grease. I would go back but wouldn't go out of my way.
